This is a ready-made liquid weathering product from the Alclad range of washes and filters. The blue shade Night Blue is mixed especially for work on dark gray surfaces — it gently unifies and deepens the tone, brings out detail and gives the surface a cool, faded cast. The product dries matte.

Use

• It is applied with a brush onto a well dried base coat (ideally a matte one).
• It runs into hollows, engraved lines and around details, where it brings out the shadow.
• The excess can be wiped off or spread with a suitable thinner and smooth transitions worked up in this way.
• It serves as a filter shifting the overall tone as well as a wash bringing out the detail of dark gray surfaces.
