A replacement nozzle for airbrushes of the Black Flame range in the 0.5 mm form. Together with the needle, the nozzle determines how much paint the airbrush lets through and how it is atomized. The diameter of 0.5 mm is the setting for a higher flow: priming, varnishing larger areas and thicker materials. A nozzle needs replacing when its edge is damaged; the airbrush then sprays unevenly or paint drips from it even with the needle closed.
For owners of airbrushes of the Black Flame range. Tighten the nozzle sensitively and only with the tool intended for it; it is a small part with a fine thread and overtightening destroys it easily. Before fitting it, make sure that the seating face in the body of the airbrush is clean; a remnant of dried paint under the nozzle causes a leak just as reliably as a damaged tip. Always use it with a needle of the same diameter.
After a replacement it is a good idea to test the airbrush on paper first: an uneven or scattering shape of the spray usually means that the nozzle has not seated squarely or that dirt has stayed under it. Taking the assembly apart and putting it back together is quicker in such a case than looking for the fault in the thinning of the paint.
This is a spare part, not a complete airbrush. Do not clean the nozzle with wire or with a point that could widen the opening. Clean it with the thinner matching the paint used and ventilate when working with solvents.
