The grip is the part of the tool you keep touching the whole time you work, and yet it is the last thing anyone talks about. The nylon version for the GHAD-68 airbrush offers a more pleasant surface under the fingers and a surer hold than bare metal.
Painting a model is not a matter of five minutes. After an hour of concentrated work the hand tires, the fingers stiffen and accuracy drops, which shows on the model sooner than you admit to yourself. A surface that does not slip keeps the hand relaxed and helps you draw an even pass. The difference shows above all during longer sessions, when thinner gets onto the fingers and smooth metal starts to float in the hand. Anyone who works in thin gloves will appreciate the surer hold twice over, because gloves are exactly what takes the most sensitivity away from the fingers.
This is a separate replacement part, so it also serves when the original grip is worn or damaged. Clean it with a mild agent and a cloth and leave aggressive solvents for the metal parts. Before fitting it, check that the mating surface is clean and free of dried paint, or the part may not seat properly.
It is sold as a separate part, and the airbrush is not included in the package.
