OILBRUSHER OCHRE — Oil Paint with a Brush in the Cap

OILBRUSHER OCHRE from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is an oil paint (not acrylic, not enamel) in a bottle with a volume of 10 ml. The cap has a fine brush built in, so it is applied straight from the bottle onto the model. It is a modeling paint, or modeling chemistry — not a kit. Ochre is a light, warm yellow-brown shade that represents dust and dry earth on a model.

Use

• Dust and dusty surfaces — horizontal areas, upper armor, engine covers, roofs, and anywhere dust settles undisturbed.
• Desert and dry tones — equipment deployed in dry environments, where a fine, light settled dust is a defining feature.
• Faded earthy deposits — dried light earth on the lower parts, leading edges and above the running gear.
• Lightening dark areas — a light blend of ocher breaks up a uniform dark shade so the surface stops looking flat.
• The paint dries slowly, giving you plenty of time to spread it and softly blend it away. It is thinned and blended with odorless thinner or mineral spirits and applied over a cured, varnished surface.

Who it is for

For modelers of military and civilian equipment, especially desert and dry schemes, and for diorama builders. It also suits situations where a dark model needs to be optically lightened and relieved of a flat look. Slow drying makes it forgiving even for less experienced modelers.
