A set of six acrylic paints of seventeen milliliters each, put together for the green skin of fantasy figures from deep shadow to golden light.
Responsibility details are not available.
The selection of third generation acrylic paints is put together so as to cover the whole range of green skin from deep shadow to the highest light. It holds six bottles of seventeen milliliters each: a dark green gray, a dark green, a saturated green, a light green, an olive and a golden olive.
The shades follow on from one another in small steps, so they can be layered without visible transitions. The usual procedure starts from the darkest tone as a base, continues with two or three covering layers toward the olive and ends with a golden cast on the edges of muscles, on the forehead and on the joints. The same palette can be used on reptile skin as well, on stone bases overgrown with moss or on old copper patina.
The binder is water thinnable and matte once dry, so the surface is ready for the varnishes and shades that follow with no further sanding. The paint is finely ground and will stand thinning down to the consistency of a glaze without losing covering power. For an airbrush it is recommended to add a drop of thinner of the same brand and to work at lower pressure, otherwise the pigment settles in the nozzle.
The bottles have a dropper cap, which makes measuring easier when mixing your own tones on a palette. The set also suits anyone who wants to compare individual shades of green side by side and only then decide which way the shading will go. It is practical too that the whole six comes from one production line, so the shades mix with one another without the risk of the binders quarreling.
