A basic modeling palette for mixing paints. It is a plastic plate with wells into which you take off the amount of paint you need, add thinner and mix the shade exactly as you require. The wells are separated from one another, so the individual shades do not mix together, and the smooth surface is easy to clean once it has dried. The palette is not intended for paint alone; you will mix two-part putty on it just as well or put a drop of glue aside on it.
For every modeler who does not want to paint straight from the bottle. Mixing a shade of your own, lightening a base to suggest volume or preparing a fine wash is work the palette suits better than an improvised lid or a piece of foil. Builders of figures, vehicles, aircraft and ships will all put it to use.
The thinner and paints used are governed by the safety instructions of their own maker. Work in a ventilated room, clean the palette after work with the appropriate thinner and put it away out of the reach of children.
