Anyone who paints figures usually has dozens of small bottles that scatter across the bench in the course of a single evening. This organizer is designed for exactly those: the recesses match the shape of a slim dropper bottle and of a low pot with a flip-top lid, that is the two most widespread containers for paints meant for brushwork.
The body is made of plywood in a light tone. The width comes to 34 centimeters, the depth 24 and the height 25, a format that fits on the edge of a bench and still takes a large part of an ordinary home stock of shades. The stepped arrangement means that the back row is seen just as well as the front one, so there is no rearranging when you look for a particular tone.
The manufacturer does not state the number of recesses, and because the diameters of bottles differ slightly between brands it is sensible to measure your own before ordering. What decides is the diameter of the base, not the height, because the step is open at the top and a taller container simply protrudes further.
The organizer is sold empty. The photographs with filled recesses serve only to give an idea of the capacity. If you plan several racks side by side, count on the width being fixed, so a set will grow by a full thirty-four centimeters at a time.
