A ready-made enamel (solvent-based) wash from the manufacturer Tamiya in an orange-brown, rusty shade. The paint is pre-thinned to the ideal consistency and has a brush built into the cap, so it is applied straight away with no mixing. It serves to pick out panel lines, engraving and detail and to imitate rust and wear. The package usually contains 40 ml.
Suitable for modelers who want to pick out details quickly and without mixing and to give a model depth and weathering. Builders of military vehicles will appreciate the rusty shade above all, and so will anyone who needs an effect of rust and aging.
The product is solvent-based, so work in a well-ventilated area and away from open flame. Apply it over a painted (lacquer or acrylic) base; on some bare plastics an enamel can make the plastic brittle, so avoid moving and stressed parts.
