Paper Plants - Ground Palm is a set of laser-cut paper leaves of a low palm for building vegetation in dioramas.

A set of laser-cut paper parts from which a low palm with a ground-level rosette of leaves is assembled. It is not a model but a building element of vegetation. The advantage of paper over plastic is its thickness: a leaf cut from paper is thin enough to look like a plant even after painting, whereas an injection-molded plastic leaf tends to look coarse.
Take the parts out of the sheet carefully; paper tears easily in thin places. Before painting, bend and twist the leaves slightly, as a flat leaf looks like something cut out of paper, which is what it actually is. Paint them with thinned acrylic paint on both sides and reckon with the paper waving once it is wet, which is an advantage when building vegetation. Choose an uneven shade; nature never has one single color. Fix the finished plant with a spray of matte varnish.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
