A set of diamond files for sanding and cleaning up parts in modeling. The diamond surface will handle materials harder than plastic as well.
Responsibility details are not available.
Diamond files have an abrasive surface formed by grains fixed to the body of the tool, so they do not wear away as quickly as a conventionally cut file and do not clog at the very first job. They come into their own when cleaning up parts, when leveling edges after a cut and when refining the mating surfaces that have to fit without a gap once glued.
A modeler reaches for a file every time a little material has to be removed, but precisely. Besides plastic parts they also suit harder materials, where an ordinary file quickly goes blunt. The particular shapes and the grit in the set are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, so choose the tool according to whether you need to work on a surface, in a groove or in a corner.
Guide the file with a stroke in one direction and without great pressure, otherwise the grain wears needlessly and deep scratches are left on the part. Working dry on plastic clogs the abrasive surface with melted material, so clean the file with a brush as you go, or wet it with water while sanding. After rougher work, finish the surface with fine abrasive paper, so that the scratches do not show through under the varnish. Do not bend the tool and do not lean on it as on a lever, because the thin blade can snap.
The model, abrasive paper, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
