Plastic Bases - Round Lip 50mm

Plastic Bases - Round Lip 50mm

A round plastic gaming base 50 mm across in the version with a raised rim around the circumference, which the word Lip in the name denotes. It belongs among gaming accessories for tabletop battles. The size of a base is a functional figure in a game, because movement and range are measured from its edge.

One format across a unit

An army takes years to build and models join it from various sources. Where models on bases of different origin come together, measuring drifts and players have to sort out individual cases as they go. The simplest solution is to keep one format for a whole category of models and have a stock at home. A diameter of 50 mm is among the larger formats for individual models, where a difference of a few millimeters shows the most, because the edge of the base is far from the center. Which diameter your model should have, check in the rules of the system you play.

What it is suited to

• Bringing a whole category of models onto one base diameter.
• Adding models acquired later to a unit.
• A clear edge makes it easier to judge contact with an opponent's unit.
• A predictable footprint for deploying an army at the start of a game.

Who it is for

For players who care that their army can be measured simply and without disputes, and for collectors who want a visually matched collection. The plastic material, the diameter and the rimmed version follow from the product name. The color, the thickness and the number of pieces in the package are stated by the manufacturer on the box.
