Plastic plate 1.7 mm, B4 format (Tamiya)

This is a modeling material, not a kit. It is a clear plastic (polystyrene) plate 1.7 mm thick in B4 format. The plate serves as a starting material for modifying models, making your own parts, conversions and design work. The material does not change shape under the influence of damp, it has sufficient strength and it takes ordinary modeling glues and paints.

Use

• Scratchbuilding, conversions and making your own parts
• The plate is cut by scoring and snapping, and it can be sanded and shaped with heat
• It is bonded with ordinary glue for plastic and takes an airbrush as well as a brush
• The clear material can also be used for transparent surfaces and masks

Who it is for

A plastic plate is a basic raw material for modelers who like making parts themselves, modify kits or work on mock-ups and design. The thicker 1.7 mm plate will serve where stiffness and load-bearing capacity are needed.
