The thicker variant of liquid plastic for filling seams and building missing edges back up. Once dry it merges with the styrene of the model and sands just like it.
Responsibility details are not available.
Liquid plastic in the thicker variant deals with the situations where a wider gap is left between parts or where a piece of an edge has broken off the kit. It is applied straight into the spot with a brush, bites gently into the surface of the styrene and, once cured, forms one whole with it. The result is then worked not as an alien filler but as the material the model is built from.
The maker offers two viscosities and each of them is aimed elsewhere. The thinner one wicks into hairline cracks and is at home on small flaws, whereas this thicker one holds its shape even on a vertical wall and can handle a volume that the other one would simply run off. For a long gap along a fuselage or for rebuilding a broken corner, reach for this one.
Choose several thin layers rather than one thick one, because the solvent leaves slowly from the depths and a spot that has not dried through tears when sanded. Let the compound air out between applications. Besides filling, it is also good for creating textures, welds for instance, or a rumpled tarpaulin, where a tool is pressed into the surface once it has flashed off.
Work in a room with a supply of fresh air and clean the brush at once, while the compound is still wet. It will not bond to resin or metal, because its effect rests on dissolving polystyrene. On such parts a classic two-part filler is still the answer. Close the bottle carefully after work, otherwise the contents thicken and stop flowing where you need them. Put off sanding until the hardened spot is completely firm and unyielding to the touch.
