A solution for preparing porous surfaces before painting, the thin version. A 40 ml pot.
Responsibility details are not available.
Porous materials cause trouble when painting: the pigment soaks into them, the shade goes darker and the coat stays uneven. This product seals the surface first, so that the following coat lies on a settled surface and behaves predictably. It comes into its own wherever a build is not made of smooth plastic alone.
This package carries the designation for the thinner consistency, which flows better into the texture and does not fill fine relief. It is applied in a thin coat and left to dry, and only then does the base color follow. On very absorbent materials it pays to repeat the coat, because the first one soaks almost entirely into the material.
Stir the contents before work and test the product on an offcut or in a less conspicuous place, especially if you are building from printed parts. Clean tools right after use, while the material has not yet hardened. Once dry, the surface can be lightly sanded to give a completely smooth base.
On a layered print the absorbency tends to be uneven, so that is exactly where the difference between a treated and an untreated area shows best. Work thinly and preferably in two passes, because a single heavy coat can fill fine engraving and small edges that cannot then be brought back.
