DSPIAE PLD-01BK Super Corgi Butts is a test piece for a trial spray of paint in the black version. You will see the sprayed paint the way it will look on the model, not the way it looks in the bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aid for painting, not a paint. The test piece, shaped like a corgi's rear end, serves to let you spray or brush a shade for practice and see it in its final form before you touch the model. Paint in the bottle, paint on a mixing palette and paint dried on a surface look different every time, and it is exactly this difference that the test piece removes. This is the black variant; the manufacturer makes the same aid in a clear and in a white version as well. A dark base is the sternest test of coverage: a paint that needs more coats on a black surface will ask the same of you on a model primed with a dark primer.
For modelers who work with a larger number of shades and want certainty before they start spraying a finished model. Anyone who mixes shades of their own and needs to record them somewhere so as to know them next time will value it too. Test pieces in the three versions together give an intelligible picture of how a paint behaves on a dark, a pale and a transparent base.
