A red shade for the inside of a flower

Red is the most conspicuous color on a model at all. The eye finds it sooner than shape, and that is why it can be handled in two ways: either a particular plant is suggested with it, or it is used as a point that draws attention to where the author intends a viewer to look first. Both work, only they must not be confused with one another.

The shade is advised for lilies and hibiscus. With both it is a large open flower whose center carries a rich color and tends to be visible even from a distance. In such a case the powder is applied over the whole inside, not just as a dot in the middle. Inside the package there is 29.4 cm3 of material, 1.8 cubic inches converted.

A detail that is seen

A rich point can help a scene outside a bed as well. A bunch of flowers in the window of a station house, a single bush in bloom by the wall of a barracks or a band of poppies along a line give an otherwise green and gray landscape scale and life. That is precisely why it pays off to have the red shade at hand even when no garden is being built.

During the work it holds that less tends to be more. A few small points placed irregularly look better than a continuous red area, which tires the eye and optically breaks a scene apart. It also helps to leave some of the flowers paler, because in nature no two flower absolutely alike.

The material can be combined without trouble with the other shades of the line. A darker base inside and a lighter edge give a flower the depth that a single color does not have, and the difference is apparent above all in a photograph taken close up.
