With modeling goods two things decide. The second is the degree of completion: a finished piece only needs to be set up, whereas kits and accessories are glued and painted, and the equipment you will need for them matches that. Only from both can you estimate how much work the item will call for and where it fits in a collection.
Keep modeling goods in a dry place and out of direct sunlight, which takes the richness out of the colors. Finished pieces last best in a display case or in a closed cabinet, because an object standing in the open gathers dust quickly and dust is much harder to remove from a broken up surface than from a smooth one. Use a soft wide brush for dusting, not a cloth, so that you do not break off the small protruding details. Avoid damp and quick changes of temperature; a windowsill above a radiator and a cellar are not suitable places.
