Roughing File, a coarse file (AMMO of Mig Jimenez)

A good metal file meant for coarser work: quick removal of material, shaping and cleaning up parts. The special tooth pattern keeps the file from clogging with filings, so it holds its cutting properties longer.

  • Quick removal and shaping of material on plastic, resin and soft wood.
  • Removing casting blocks and coarse excess before fine sanding.
  • Chamfering and leveling the edges of larger parts.

Who it is for

For modelers who need a brisk file for the rough preparation of parts, followed by finer sanding with sanding pads or paper.

Tap or brush the filings off the file after work. Wear respiratory protection when working resin.
