An easy-build (snap-fit) kit of the Russian fifth-generation fighter Sukhoi T-50 PAK-FA from Hobby Boss. The model is laid out for a quick build without glue, the plastic is molded in color and the box holds LED lighting that shows the finished model off to good effect. The assembled model is roughly 200 mm long; this is not a standard kit scale but a reduction in what is known as box scale.
The Sukhoi T-50 (PAK-FA) is the prototype of a Russian twin-engine fifth-generation fighter, from which the production Su-57 grew. The aircraft stresses reduced radar signature, agility and modern avionics, and was meant to replace older fighters in service with the Russian Air Force.
The parts can be joined without glue, although a drop of plastic cement helps the strength of the joints. Even though the plastic is pre-colored, a sprayed primer and a light panel wash will lift the result. Before installing the lighting, think through how the wiring will run inside the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled. No glue is needed for the easy build; paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
