A complete rust assembly put together from eleven items. It contains acrylic base rust shades, washes, a streaking product, loose pigments and oil sticks. It is a ready-made path from the base tone through runs and stains to the coarse texture of flaking rust, so that the products do not have to be put together one by one. Rust, moreover, does not look the same everywhere: a fresh orange bloom on a scraped edge looks different from an old dark crust on a machine long laid up, and it is exactly this range the assembly is prepared for.

Use

• The base rust shades are applied with a brush or a sponge as a foundation for the further layers.
• The washes run into the recesses and seams and draw the detail of the casting out.
• The streaking product imitates the streaks that rainwater draws down the metal.
• The loose pigments give rust a coarse matte texture and are fixed once dry.
• The oil sticks serve for spot stains and for the fine toning of surfaces.

Who the set is for

For modelers of military vehicles, wrecks, ships and railway vehicles who want their rust products together and in a tested combination. The procedure can be split into individual steps, so even a modeler without much practice in weathering will manage the assembly.

The pigments are a loose powder, so do not inhale them and do not work with them in a draft. Use solvent-based products in a ventilated room and protect your skin. Keep everything out of the reach of children.
