This is a plastic kit of a robot from the Japanese science fiction series Sakugan. Bandai supplies it as what is called a snap-fit kit: the individual parts are already colored right through and join by simply snapping together. You therefore build the model without glue and without painting, which is the main reason people reach for Japanese kits even when they are only just starting to build. The range designation is given directly in the name and determines how demanding the build is and how detailed the parts are.
Big Tony is a working and combat mecha from the science fiction series Sakugan, whose story takes place in an underground world linked by a network of tunnels and settlements. The qualifier Gagumber Memempu Custom refers to a particular modification of the machine associated with the main characters of the story. In shape it is a robust, practically conceived machine with strong limbs and a massive torso, closer to heavy equipment than to slim combat mecha.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers a little away from the part and then level the rest of the gate with a sharp knife or a fine file; this way no white nick appears in the plastic. Anyone who wants to take the result further can still paint the model: the surface only has to be degreased, and it will then take acrylic paint well from a brush or an airbrush. What does the most is picking out the engraved lines with a panel color and a final matte or semi-gloss varnish, which unifies the surface and hides the sheen of bare plastic.
The model is built by snapping the parts together; glue is not needed. Tools, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
