A park bench with a slatted seat and back, that is the classic piece of street furniture that stands in parks, at stations and outside municipal buildings. The package holds two sets, so you can build a pair of benches or keep a spare in case a small part gets lost.
The accessory is aimed at dioramas and scenery. A bench gives a scene scale and fills an empty spot by a wall, beside a path or on a platform, and it serves just as well as a base for a figure. Check whether the size of the bench matches the scale of your scene.
Before gluing, find out what material the parts are and use the matching glue; with metal and resin parts alike, super glue has proved itself. Cut excess material and the marks left by production off with a sharp blade a little off the part and sand the rest back. Wash the surface, degrease it and lay on a base color. A lighter tone applied with a dry brush over a darker base gives the slats the look of wood, and a dark wash belongs in the gaps between them. The frame of the bench takes a hint of rust at the joints and a deposit of dust near the ground. On an accessory this small, a dry brush and a wash do more work than the best base shade.
