AK interactive Splatter Effects Dry Mud (100 ml)

An acrylic textured effect from the Spanish brand AK interactive intended for creating spatters of dry, dried mud on vehicle models, dioramas and vignettes. The consistency is tuned for easy pickup on a brush and for spattering onto the lower parts of a model; once dry, a matte, dusty texture matching dried mud remains. It is neither a paint nor a kit, but a consumable weathering material. You control the amount of spatter and the size of the droplets by how much you pick up and by the distance from the model. The package holds 100 ml.

Use

• Spattering dry mud onto the undersides of cargo beds, fenders, wheels and the tracks of vehicles
• It is applied by flicking it off a brush with a stick, or by a stream of air from an airbrush through a brush
• It is thinned with water or an acrylic thinner to adjust the fluidity
• The effect stands out on a smoother surface, where it keeps the shape of the dried droplets
• It is combined with wet mud and pigments for layered dirt
