Fifteen magnetic squares with a 50 millimeter side, the largest square size in this line. Meant for large models, small scenes and display cases with a metal shelf.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 50 mm area is no longer merely insurance against a figure falling over. It will carry a vehicle, a large monster or a small scene built on a square base, and it suits every place where the model weighs so much that it would tip over on a small square. The pack holds fifteen pieces, which matches its size: the larger the shape, the fewer of them come from one sheet, and with this edge the count has reached the lowest value among the square formats.
A display case offers an interesting use. It is enough to lay a thin steel plate under the models and paint it in the color of the shelf, and the collection then stays in place even when the doors are closed or when a truck passing the window sets up a tremor. Unlike gluing the models down permanently, the arrangement can be undone again at any time.
With large parts it makes sense to glue the square over its whole area, not just around the edge. Apply the glue in a thin continuous layer, otherwise the surface will ripple as it dries and the magnet will hold only where it touches. Wipe the excess away at once, because glue squeezed out at the edge will later prevent an accurate fit.
A large square is also a rewarding source of material. You can cut a disc out of it for a round base, a strip for the bottom of a transport box or a tab for a magnetic board holding work in progress. It is worth keeping at least a few pieces aside as a supply for the moment when you need an unusual shape and cannot get one anywhere.
