A package with four trees is one of those you can start building a wood with, rather than merely setting up an ornamental lone tree. The heights reach from 10.1 to 15.2 cm, which means that in one package you get both pieces for the second plane and taller specimens for the edge of the group. The difference between the lowest and the tallest piece is roughly a fifth of the length of a palm, so enough for the growth not to look like a row of identical shapes.
The trunks are painted and flexible, so they can be leaned or turned and a different silhouette achieved on every piece. The foliage holds on the branching in irregular clusters. At the bottom of the trunk there is a pin for seating into a base, and with it a removable base so that the tree can be stood up even without drilling and the layout tried out first.
Four pieces will cover an area roughly the size of a palm if you set them out with uneven gaps and different orientations. On a layout in 1:87 they match trees nine to thirteen meters tall, while in larger scales you move their role toward a younger planting. It always holds that the group is best filled out with lower greenery at the foot of the trunks, otherwise a bare area is left under the trees.
The trees take repeated handling as long as they are not glued down. Dust is removed from them with a fine brush with long bristles; chemical cleaning is out of place. If the model stands in a display case, the crowns stay clean considerably longer and only need dusting now and then.
