STARSHIP FILTH from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is an oil paint in a bottle with a brush right in the cap, intended for dirt, soot and deposits on models. It is modeling chemistry (weathering), not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
STARSHIP FILTH belongs to the OILBRUSHER range: these are ready oil paints thinned to a consistency in which they can be applied straight from the bottle. The cap has a fine brush built into it, so there is no need to squeeze paint from a tube onto a palette or to mix it with thinner. The package holds 10 ml. The shade is a dark, dirty brown-gray, exactly what forms on a surface down which soot, dust, oil and exhaust deposits run. It is not a kit and not a paint for a base coat but a weathering product for finishing a model.
The name refers to science fiction subjects, that is spaceships, mechs, robots and science fiction figures, where this shade is used most often. That does not limit its use in any way, though: it works just as well on ordinary subjects, on aircraft (the streaks behind exhausts and guns), military vehicles, ships, industrial machinery and dioramas. Anyone building a clean model with no weathering does not need it; anyone who wants a model that looks used gets a quick and forgiving tool even without experience of classic oils in a tube.
Safety: a solvent-based oil paint. Keep out of the reach of children. Work in a well ventilated space, do not inhale the fumes, avoid long contact with the skin (use gloves) and protect your eyes. Thinners for oils are flammable, so do not use them near open flame. Close the container properly after use.
