Static Grass Flock 4-6 mm Hayfield Grass - static grass, 200 ml

Static grass is a loose fibrous material that is applied onto an area coated with glue beforehand. An electrostatic applicator stands the fibers upright, so that the growth does not look flattened but grows upward like real grass. A fiber length of 4 to 6 mm corresponds to an ordinary kept meadow or the grassy edge of a path; the Hayfield Grass tone aims at drier summer greenery with a yellowish cast. It is neither a paint nor a finished grass mat but a loose material in a package with a volume of 200 ml, from which you put the growth together yourself.

Use

• Coat the surface with thinned PVA glue or with a special glue for static grass and work in smaller areas, so that the glue does not dry.
• Apply the grass with an electrostatic applicator; without one the fibers lie down and the area will look like felt.
• Once dry, vacuum or knock the excess off and use it again, as that does not spoil the material.
• Mix two or three lengths and shades and let the surface show through here and there; a uniformly green area looks artificial.
• Fix the finished growth with a light overspray of fixative from a greater distance, so that the stream of air does not flatten the fibers.

For builders of dioramas and vignettes, for wargaming players finishing the bases of figures, and for railroad modelers. The material is not tied to one scale, because the length of the fibers determines how tall the resulting growth will be, so the same grass serves as a tall meadow in small scales and as an ordinary lawn on larger models.

Keep loose material in a closed container out of reach of children. Ensure ventilation when fixing with a spray and when working with glues.
