About product

Sira Hobby Dark rust – a rust effect

Dark rust from the range of effects by the Czech manufacturer Sira Hobby is a liquid water-based weathering product with no odor. The darker rust shade suits older and more heavily corroded surfaces, shadows and corners and serves as a base under lighter rust shades. It is suitable for armored vehicles, ships, trains and dioramas where the surface is meant to look long neglected and weathered.

Use

  • It is applied with a brush, a sponge or by stippling into exposed places and shadows
  • It is thinned and washed off with water – the intensity can be controlled
  • It works as a dark base under lighter rust shades
  • It works best over a dried matte clear coat

Who it is for

For modelers of vehicles and dioramas who build layered, faithful corrosion without solvent products.

The product is water-based and odorless. Store out of the reach of children.
