Typhoeus Gundam Chimera is a plastic kit of a battle robot from the Gundam world from the Japanese brand Bandai. The parts snap together, so the model holds together even without glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit comes from the Japanese company Bandai, which has been producing plastic models of robots from the Gundam world since the end of the 1970s and sets the pace in this field. The parts tend to be injected in several colors at once and snap together, so assembly calls for neither glue nor experience with classic military models. That is exactly why kits of this kind often become the first box someone buys, and yet they will take a demanding finish as well.
The world of Gundam rests on large piloted battle machines that move like a human but measure tens of meters. Since 1979, when the first animated series appeared, an extensive family of stories has grown around the subject, and it includes machines put together by the heroes themselves to their own design. The name of this machine combines the giant Typhon with the mythical Chimera, that is two figures of Greek mythology in which the point is always a combination of incompatible parts in one being.
Nip the parts off with a small margin and level the rest of the gate with a file, so that no white mark is left on the edge. Plastic separated by color looks good even without a coat of paint, but the result is moved on by bringing out the engraved lines with a fine marker and by a final matte varnish that evens the sheen out. Do not glue the movable joints and do not overload them needlessly while trying out poses.
The model is sold as a kit, so in the box you will find unassembled parts with no coat of paint; paints and other modeling supplies are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
