With this set Bandai reached for an unconventional solution: the feathers of the large wings have a metal core covered with a softened material, so they can be bent and left in a pose that would not be possible from bare plastic. The wings are made up of fourteen separate feathers. According to the manufacturer, two beam rifles, two beam sabers, lighting for the head and the chest and a joint in the hips of die-cast metal, which carries the weight of the whole construction, belong to the model.
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom is the form of the machine from the film sequel Endless Waltz. It differs from the series execution precisely in the wings made of individual feathers instead of mechanical panels, thanks to which it earned the nickname the angel Gundam. Heero Yuy sits at its controls and the silhouette is among the most iconic in the whole brand.
Proceed exactly according to the order in the instructions, because the inner frame carries the heavy wings and taking it apart later tends to be unpleasant. Shape the feathers gradually and preferably in two goes, as the bend will then stay smooth. Painting is not a condition, but bringing out the engraved lines and a matte coat will give the surface a depth that glossy plastic does not have by itself.
The model comes taken apart on sprues; you have to put it together yourself and the surface finish stays up to your decision.
