For modelers of modern armor. The period marked out matters for the choice: the camouflage, markings and surface condition of the hardware differ in it both from older stages and from the state of things today, so the guidance on painting fits precisely this era. The book is a complement to work at the bench — paints, washes and pigments are not part of it and are obtained separately. Modern armor has its own specifics, which do not carry over automatically to builders of World War II subjects: a different character of surface, different materials for add-on armor and screens, a strong presence of crew equipment and stowage on the hull, and wear that shows itself in fine dust and abrasion rather than in dramatic corrosion. That is precisely why it is worth having guidance aimed at this era and not relying on general weathering instructions.
