A liquid ink wash in a purple shade from the weathering range of the Spanish brand Green Stuff World. A wash is a product that spreads over a surface, flows into recesses and engraved lines and darkens and brings out the detail there, while on the raised areas only a fine color cast remains. The result is a more articulated and deeper surface than a color coat alone gives. The word Ink in the name refers to the ink character of the shade, that is to a saturated translucent tone.
A wash serves for toning and bringing out detail, not for an overall coat over a whole surface. The effect differs according to the base and according to the amount you get onto the surface, so test the result first on a test piece or in a less conspicuous place. The volume of the package is given by the manufacturer on the label of the bottle.
