A themed set of modeling markers dedicated to weapons. A rifle leaning against a crate, a machine gun on a vehicle roof, or a pistol in a figure's holster all pack several different materials into a small area, and these materials need to be color-separated from each other. It is exactly on parts like these that a brush is harder to aim precisely than a marker tip, which stays exactly where you put it.
You apply the paint directly with the tip, with no mixing, no thinning, and no airbrush. The set belongs among the markers for highlighting and aging a surface, so it works for the base coloring of weaponry as well as for later highlighting of edges and wear.
Color the weapon before placing it in a figure's hand or a vehicle mount; once it is seated, you won't be able to reach one side anymore. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand. Apply in thin coats and let them dry, otherwise the layers pool at the edge. Just run a light stroke over the barrel's edge, and leave the sights dark so they stay legible. The exact procedure for this set is given in the instructions on the packaging.
Suited to a modeler who builds figures, vehicles with carried weaponry, or scenes with laid-out gear and doesn't want to set up a whole painting kit for just a few strokes.
