Sira Hobby Weathered Rust

A weathering effect from the Czech maker Sira Hobby for imitating weathered, settled rust on metal surfaces. It is a liquid, water-thinnable product based on fine pigments that fixes itself on the surface of a model. Once dry it leaves the matte rusty cast typical of metal that has been corroding for a long time out in the weather.

Use

• Applied with a brush; by thinning with water you control the depth and the extent of the rusty area.
• Suitable for corrosion on hatches, hinges, rivets, running gear, piping and railings.
• Combine it with stronger rust shades for convincing layering of the corrosion.
• The effect flows into the recesses and brings out the structure of the surface.

For modelers from advanced beginners upwards who want to give vehicles and dioramas convincing corrosion without mixing their own blends. It will be appreciated by builders of military vehicles, ships and industrial scenery.
