WET GROUND from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is a textured enamel weathering product in a 35 ml package. It is not a kit or a liquid wash — it is a thicker compound with built-in texture that creates a convincing layer of fresh, wet mud and earth on a model. The dried surface is matte, matching real soil; do not expect a glossy, wet-looking varnish.

The product suits the undersides and running gear of vehicles, road wheels, tracks and mudguards, but also diorama bases and figure stands. It can be combined with other enamel earth tones and pigments from the same manufacturer to build layered, varied mud deposits.

Use

• Mix thoroughly before use — the textured component settles to the bottom of the bottle, and without mixing you will apply only binder.
• Apply with a brush, a spatula or a toothpick, freely and unevenly — real mud is never uniform.
• Let it tack up briefly and wipe off the excess with a brush moistened in a suitable thinner (typically an odorless thinner or mineral spirits for enamel products). This shapes the deposit and any splatter.
• Work in layers — several thin coats rather than one thick one; let each dry.
• Apply it over a cured gloss varnish: the excess then wipes off cleanly, without staining or damaging the paint underneath.
• Fine-tune the effect with pigments, dust shades, or a gloss medium for the wettest-looking spots.
