Winter Tufts 5 mm: Winter Grass Tufts

These grass tufts from AK Interactive, 5 mm high, capture grass as it looks in winter and at the end of autumn: withered, faded and frost-killed. The tufts are made of static grass in the shape of natural clumps and, thanks to their self-adhesive base, are easy to move straight onto the terrain. The light, earthy tones complete snowy and muddy scenes with military vehicles or a railway beautifully.

Use

• Pick up the tuft with tweezers, lift it off the backing and press it onto the chosen spot on the terrain.
• For a permanent hold on a smooth surface, adding a drop of PVA glue is recommended.
• Combine tufts of different heights and shades, as the growth then looks more natural.
• In a winter scene the tufts can be lightly dusted with snow pigment or paste.

Who it is for

The tufts will be appreciated by builders of winter and late autumn dioramas in the usual modeling scales, from military vehicles through figures to railway layouts. The low height of 5 mm matches shorter trampled or withered grass and also works as a complement to taller tufts.
