Sira Hobby XL coarse pigment paste Sand - water-thinnable weathering with a coarse grain

The coarse-grained variant of the pigment paste from the Czech manufacturer Sira Hobby in the larger XL package of 100 ml, in a sand shade. Unlike the standard paste it has a markedly coarser grain, so it creates the raised, rough texture of sandy and gravelly ground. It is a water-thinnable weathering product with pigment and filler with which mud, dried earth and coarse deposits are built up. The paste is non-toxic.

Use

• Coarse, raised deposits of sandy and gravelly earth on the lower hulls of vehicles and in the tracks.
• Textured groundwork surfaces, roads and transitions in dioramas.
• Pronounced grainy mud and deposits where a fine paste is not enough.
• Applied with a brush or a spatula; the consistency can be adjusted with water.
• Thinned and cleaned with water - it is a water-thinnable product, not an enamel or a lacquer.

How it differs from the fine paste and from washes

Compared with the standard paste it has a coarser grain and gives a more pronounced, rough texture. It is neither a liquid wash running into the detail nor a filter shifting the tone of a surface - it is a textured paste for building up the volume and relief of earth.

For modelers of military vehicles and builders of dioramas who want a pronounced grainy texture of sandy earth that thins with water, with no solvent work involved.
