A product for weathering a model in an earth gray shade. It suits dust, dried mud and deposits settled on equipment and on the surface of a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
Earth gray is a tone that stands in on a model for dust and dried deposits where a brown soil would look too raw. It comes into its own on equipment moving along hard-surfaced roads, on machines in a dry and dusty environment and on the lower areas, where deposits linger longest. It also serves well on the surface of a diorama, on concrete and on stone. Against a pure gray it has a warmer cast, so it does not look cold next to the base coat.
Work unevenly; real dust never settles to the same degree everywhere. Grade the application by height: most of the material belongs at ground level and it thins out toward the top. Hold to the principle of less rather than more, as you can always add but taking away is worse. The method of application, any thinning, the drying time and the cleaning of tools are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow them. Clean the tools immediately after the work, as dried material is hard to remove.
Weathering comes at the very end, that is, after the finished paintwork, after the decals and after the final varnish. Try the procedure out first on a piece of waste plastic or on the bottom of the model, where nobody will see a slip. Leave the deposit mainly in the recesses, in the corners and around the rivets; on the edges and on the surfaces the crew would routinely touch, leave the surface cleaner instead.
The model, brushes and other weathering products are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
