PLAYMARKER marker, undead skin

A marker from the PLAYMARKER range in a skin shade meant for undead figures. The tip applies the color directly, so there is no brush, no palette and no mixing. That helps on figures, where the areas of skin are small and split into dozens of little spots, and on quick touches that do not justify opening a bottle.

Where the color is used

The shade is aimed at fantasy figures whose skin should not look alive: the undead, walking corpses and other members of a horde that are painted in larger numbers. That is where a marker pays off most, because a whole group can be gone over in the same tone with no thinning and no brushes to wash. It can also be used on small parts of a diorama that should look diseased or decayed.

How to work with the marker

• Try the shade beforehand on a piece of scrap so that you know how it behaves on that base.
• Work in thin layers; saturation comes from repeated passes, not from pressure.
• Wipe a loaded tip so that it does not carry color from the previous area onto the model.
• A matte base holds the color better than a smooth gloss coat.
• For thinning, cleaning the tip and any clear coating, follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
• Tighten the cap after work, otherwise the tip will dry out.

One marker in the stated shade is supplied. Figures, other shades, varnishes and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Keep out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated room.
