BLUE ANGELS BLUE

Blue Angels Blue (Mr.Paint)

A deep dark blue from the lacquer line of Mr.Paint that reproduces the iconic shade of the aircraft of the American naval display team the Blue Angels. Combined with yellow, this blue is carried by the machines of the team, historically and on the current types of the F/A-18 family, at air displays, and it is among the best-known color schemes of military aviation altogether. The paint is a solvent-based lacquer supplied ready for spraying, with a fine pigment, excellent coverage and fast drying; a smoothly prepared surface suits it for a deep result.

Use

• Intended for an airbrush; the paint is ready for direct spraying and usually needs no thinning.
• If needed it is thinned with the lacquer thinner of this brand, not with water.
• Apply it in thin coats on a smoothly prepared and degreased surface, ideally over a suitable primer.
• For the deepest result lay the dark blue over a lighter base and let it dry properly.
• Suitable as the main color for models in the Blue Angels scheme; it takes a varnish compatible with lacquers under decals.

Who it is for

For modelers building the machines of the Blue Angels team who work with an airbrush and lacquer paints. Mr.Paint lacquers are meant above all for spraying, not for brush painting.

Lacquer-based paint: flammable. Spray in a well-ventilated space and with respiratory protection (a respirator), out of the reach of children and away from open flame.
