The Panhard 178 PC in 1:100 scale is a kit of the command version of the French armored car from the maker Zebranomodel.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the command form of the French Panhard 178 armored car in the small 1:100 scale. The letters PC in the name refer to the French designation of a command vehicle. The model is supplied in parts to be glued and painted. The scale matches the 15 mm standard, so it suits a collection of small equipment as well as a gaming table, where vehicles appear in groups.
The Panhard 178, also designated AMD 35 in French service, was a four-wheeled armored car with all-wheel drive, intended for reconnaissance and rapid liaison. The command version was adapted for leading a unit, which on vehicles of this type usually showed in a strengthened radio fit and a different superstructure or armament compared with the ordinary reconnaissance vehicle. The Panhard 178 was considered mobile and mechanically reliable in its day, and its career continued after 1940 in foreign hands as well.
Dry-fit the parts before gluing and remove the parting seams with a very fine file, so that the cast detail is not rubbed off the small surfaces. Use a thin cement dosed drop by drop, ideally with a capillary applicator. Apply a thin primer before painting. French interwar equipment often carried multi-color camouflage schemes; in this scale it is better to suggest their boundaries freehand with an airbrush than as a hard edge. Bring the details out with a dry brush and even the finish out at the end with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
