Renault YS 1:100 is a kit of a French military vehicle of the interwar era in a small collector scale from Zebranomodel.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of a French Renault military vehicle listed under the type code YS, in 1:100 scale. The maker works French interwar equipment up systematically and releases the individual versions separately; the follow-on designation YS2 is among them. The small scale suits extensive collections, small dioramas and gaming with models.
Between the world wars Renault was one of the main suppliers to the French army, and it listed its military types under factory codes of a few letters, which are used in the literature alongside the official army designations. In the 1930s the French army was building mechanized and cavalry units in which, besides tanks, a whole range of light armored vehicles, tractors and trucks served. It is to this broad group of equipment that the maker's line relates.
Work over a light surface, with tweezers and a sharp scalpel. Cut the parts off leaving a margin and clean them up away from the sprue, otherwise they easily fly off. For injection-molded plastic, thin modeling cement applied in drops is enough; with resin parts wash them free of release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Paint the underside and the running gear before you close the model up. Lay the base on thinly and thin the paint more than in the large scales, so that the engraved detail is not lost. Keep the weathering sparing, that is a thin wash into the recesses and a light emphasis of the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
