The kit captures the Soviet amphibious light tank T-37A in a configuration referring to a particular manufacturing plant. For ground vehicles the 1:100 scale is very small, so the finished model measures only a few centimeters and suits more extensive collections, small scenes and a gaming table alike. The material of the parts, their number and the contents of the package are stated on the box of the kit.
The T-37A was a small Soviet amphibious tank of the early 1930s, intended for reconnaissance, liaison and escort. Its buoyancy came from bulky floats above the tracks and propulsion in water was provided by a marine propeller. The armament consisted of a machine gun in a small turret, and the armor was thin and built only against splinters and infantry ammunition. Hulls and bodies were supplied by several works and the individual batches differed slightly in the rendering of the sheet parts and the detail. It is exactly this difference that the name of the item refers to.
The most delicate place on the model is the floats above the tracks — they have thin edges and are easily damaged while removing the parting lines, so go at them by sanding rather than cutting. Leave the turret separate until the end of the painting, as you will reach around it more easily. Soviet vehicles of the day tended to be in a single dark shade, so the result is decided by grading: the base, a slightly lighter breath on the horizontal surfaces and a dark wash in the recesses. Bring the tracks out with a dry brush in a metallic shade only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
