Type 95 Ha-Go (ver.1) Japanese command tank is a kit of the command version of the Japanese light tank in 1:100 scale from Zebranomodel. The manufacturer issues it as the first of two guises.

Command versions of tanks came about by adapting production vehicles for the needs of leading a unit. Typically they received extended signals equipment and, with it, visible external features, most often antenna gear. To fit it into the vehicle, part of the interior space had to give way, or the layout of the crew stations was reworked. On the Type 95 Ha-Go light tank, which was designed around a single-man turret with a 37 mm gun and an air-cooled diesel engine, the interior space was limited, so even small reworkings had a noticeable effect on the layout.
Antenna and signals parts tend to be the finest sections of a model at this scale, so glue them at the end, when you no longer handle the model much. Clean the parting lines off the remaining parts with fine abrasive paper and apply the glue in the smallest possible amount. Apply the primer thinly, so that the detail is not lost. Spray the base shade in coats and keep the patina restrained: a wash into the recesses, a gentle emphasis of the edges and light dust on the running gear. Paint the tracks and the lower hull separately, which gives the finished model depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
