A kit of the wz.34 armored car in 1:100 scale from the manufacturer Zebranomodel. The 1:100 scale is the domain of collectors who want a whole unit on a shelf, or who build small dioramas and gaming armies. The model corresponds to the machine gun version of the vehicle, that is to the variant without gun armament. The exact contents of the package, the number of parts and the material used are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The wz.34 was a Polish armored car created by rebuilding older half-track vehicles onto a purely wheeled chassis. The vehicle had a rotating turret and light armor intended against small arms rounds and splinters. The armament differed between the individual batches: some of the vehicles carried a light gun, some a 7.92 mm machine gun. The vehicles served mainly in the reconnaissance units of the cavalry brigades and were used in 1939. Given its light construction it was a reconnaissance and liaison vehicle, not a fighting vehicle for a direct duel with tanks.
In 1:100 scale the parts are very small, so work on a light surface and use tweezers. Try the parts dry before gluing. For injection-molded plastic a thin modeling cement is enough; with resin parts, first wash the remains of the mold release agent off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay the base coat on thinly so that the engraved details are not clogged. In this scale camouflage is better suggested with a soft transition through an airbrush or with a brush with a very fine tip. A final wash into the recesses and a light accent on the edges with a dry brush give the miniature its relief.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
