They are civilian props that can be used in a supply scene, at a loading dock, in front of a shop, in a garage or in the rear areas behind the front. The castings are supplied unpainted.
A diorama is held together by small things. A vehicle model set on a bare board stays a model, but as soon as a hand truck with unloaded crates stands beside it, there is a story - somebody is unloading something right now. And it is the everyday civilian objects that a modeler finds hardest to make: a hand truck has a thin tubular frame and a crate is a lattice that you will not build from plastic strip in any reasonable time. The crates can also be used on their own, stacked, scattered around, full or empty, so the set fills more than one spot in the scene.
Wash the castings first in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent so that no mold release agent is left on the surface - otherwise the paint will not take. Cut the casting blocks away with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw; support the part on the thin frame of the hand truck so that it does not snap. Sand down the mold seams and protect your breathing while sanding, as resin dust should not be inhaled. The parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray a thin primer; crates are most often painted in saturated plastic shades, while the hand truck suits a metal color with chipping on the edges and rust where the welds are. A dark wash pulls out the lattice of the crates and a dry brush picks out the edges. A little dust pigment on the lower surfaces brings the accessories into line with the groundwork of the diorama.
It is a diorama accessory, not a kit. Paints, glue, figures and a base are not included in the package.
