MASTER BAC TSR.2 — pitot tube 1:144 — a turned metal replacement pitot tube for a model of the British BAC TSR.2 bomber. More accurate and tougher than the plastic part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal replacement pitot tube in 1:144 scale from the MASTER company, intended for a model of the British prototype bomber BAC TSR.2. It is not a kit and not a model of the aircraft, but an accurate replacement part that takes the place of the soft and easily damaged plastic piece from the original kit. The turned metal tube is finer, perfectly straight and far more resistant to bending and breaking off.
The pitot tube senses air pressure on an aircraft for measuring speed. On models it is a very thin, protruding feature that on plastic parts often breaks or warps. The metal replacement from MASTER adds a fine, scale-accurate detail to the model and is markedly stronger; it suits above all an exposed nose or leading edge.
Cut off the original plastic part and widen the hole with a fine drill. Glue the metal tube in with cyanoacrylate or a small drop of two-part epoxy. Degrease the part before painting and go over it with a primer for metal so that the paint holds.
This is a replacement detail part, not a model kit. Paints, glue and the model of the aircraft are not included in the package.
