It differs from the other versions of the same subject in the finishes and markings offered, this time in the spirit of the Axis powers. Because the subject never came into being in reality, this is a reconstruction of a design study from period drawings, not a copy of a surviving aircraft.
Daimler-Benz was among the German firms that worked up a series of lettered aircraft designs at the end of the Second World War. Project F remained at the stage of a paper study; it was neither built nor flown, and so no verified flight or performance figures exist for it. This group of subjects is known in modeling as what-if projects and is popular precisely for the freedom in choosing a finish, which history does not constrain.
In 1:144 scale the model is small, so the result is decided by the cleanliness of the surface. Separate the parts with nippers and carefully sand down the remains of the sprue gates. Fill and sand the fuselage and wing joints with a fine abrasive, otherwise they will be conspicuous on such a small area. Glue with a thin plastic cement applied by capillary action into the joint, so that the plastic does not dissolve in visible places. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats so that the fine surface detail is not lost. Before the decals, go over the surface with a gloss coat and once it has dried, even the surface out with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
