FLY 1:144 DC-9-15 Federal Aviation Administration is a kit of the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airliner in the markings of the American Federal Aviation Administration.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run plastic kit of the twin-engine McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airliner in the -15 version, in 1:144 scale, in the markings of the American Federal Aviation Administration. FLY is a Czech maker of short-run models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this early jet airliner.
The DC-9 was an American narrow-body airliner with a pair of jet engines on the sides of the rear fuselage and a T-tail. The -15 version was derived from the short -10 series and offered stronger engines and better performance. Besides carriers, DC-9s were also operated by state agencies, for example for the calibration and inspection flights of aviation systems.
With a short-run kit expect to clean up the parts and dry-fit them. The smooth gloss fuselage benefits from a good primer, fine sanding and an airbrush. Lay the striking service livery down in thin coats and fix the decals with a varnish compatible with the paint used.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
