A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models for a model of the Tupolev Tu-154M airliner in the livery of Pannon Airlines, prepared for 1:144 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model that you buy separately. The decals are the classic waterslide kind.
The Tu-154 is a Soviet three-engine jet airliner for medium routes. The engines are concentrated at the rear of the fuselage, two on either side and one on the centerline with its air intake above the fuselage, and the tail surfaces form a T. Another characteristic feature is the sturdy landing gear with multiwheel bogies retracting into fairings on the wing, which let the aircraft work even from runways of lower quality. The Tu-154M version is a later update with more fuel-efficient engines and changes to the airframe, thanks to which it stayed on scheduled service considerably longer than the earlier variants.
Finish the model with gloss clear coat and the decals will then settle without silvering. Lay the long stripes along the fuselage on in one piece, line them up against a fixed reference point and only then soak the water up and press them down. Around the windows and at the wing root use a decal softener, so that the carrier film pulls onto the shape. Apply the decals on the fin and the engine nacelles last, as they are the most visible and are worth a calm hand. Choose the final varnish from semi-matte to gloss according to the character of the livery.
